Hi Melva, Unfortunately, I never had the privilege of meeting Nann but she sounds like a wonderful friend and a great lady. You and Shirley and Karen have made a beautiful memorial page for her and I am sure she will remain in your hearts until some day you all meet again. Great page! Blessings.... Joan

What a wonderful web site. A friend sent the site to me and al the hymns by the Oak Ridges Boys came at good time for I just lost my Mother. She used to sing these hymns to us as children and I felt comforted.

Dear Melva, I have been here, reading all of your updates for much longer than I ever dreamed. The time just slipped away. Lora's Old Love Letters is the most wonderful story! Washday - how true and brings back memories. Meet You at Church was beautiful and Prepare Me was a great sing-along. The Shepherd was exceptional and I enjoyed Childhood Memories. Window of my Soul was so heartfelt and G.I Joe and Lillie was so marvelous it gave me shivers. I read Jimmie's recipes and have bookmarked his new site. Thank you, Melva, for a wonderful update that I can go back to time and time again. I don't know how you do it - but so happy that you can. Hugs.... Joan

Hi Melva, just wanted to let you know I've enjoyed another visit. I read My Love Song For You,OH SO beautiful! My Prayer, Childhood Memories, From the Ashes, High Country, all beauties from your gifted pen, and John's poem for his sister Linda. John once told me he couldn't write poetry. LOL. I think he does very well.
Love ya,
Lora

Hi Melva, I have just spent the most-wonderful time here reading and listening to music. Carrie Underwood is my absolute favourite young country singer. Your "Alone" brought forth many feelings and I am sure will be of great help to others who have lost a loved one. Lora's story of The Old Love Letters is fantastic! I had read it once on her site but still marvelled at the way Lora writes her stories and it seems like it is the first time you have read them. A great afternoon. Thank you! Hugs.... Joan

As a combat vet who has borne the brunt of our nations actions and protests in Vietnam, bearing freedom's sword, and feeling the embarrassment and scorn heaped upon warriors from that conflict, I salute you and Joe Bonsall for the fine and touching tribute in GI Joe and Lillie. I had the pleasure of talking to Joe and Ace. consernin g one of my poems, and admire the patriotism and inner strength of the man. I invite those who pass here to visit my "Vietnam Picture Tour, http://pzzzz.tripod.com/namtour.html from the lens and poet’s pen of a combat infantryman, from one who's walked the walk, and can talk the talk...Take a walk in "the park" with the 1st Air Cavalry on combat patrol, that in reality will give you the sweet and sour taste of "the Nam" on your tongue, leave the pungent smell of "the Nam" acrid in your nostrils, and embed textures of "the Nam" in your brain as though you walked beside me in combat.
