I wish I understood
The mechanics of romance
What makes the soul to leap,
The heart to dance.

Is it the timbre of a voice
When words softly spoken
Played over and again
When our hearts are broken?

Is it the color of dark eyes
In contrast to locks so fair,
Or the lighthearted banter
That they love to share?

What is this magnet
That so draws one to another,
That makes them alone
The only one, and no other?

Roger Eugene Corell, 2007

1 Corinthians 13:13

And now abide faith, hope, love,
these three; but the greatest of
these is love.
