Summer nights that are muggy, With a
hint of breeze. Most nights it's not long Before
the pale streaks you see. Rumblings off in the
distance Come closer with each flash.
A wondrous display of cosmic
creation Right above your head. Oh, what a
beautiful sight, Though as a child, I would hide
in my bed. Trembling from the noise and light, And
perspiring as I hid.
Stormy summer nights Are so magical to
me, God created quite a show. I am always watching
and listening, And sometimes our lights will
go. Bring out the candles, And place them
around, All lit just in case The manmade light
should go away We'd have soft light in it's
place.
Seldom does that happen, But always
stay prepared. For some, if the storm has
passed Total darkness makes them scared. It's how
it will be If you're soul's not ready to meet The
Creator when time comes Total darkness through
eternity.
There will be a light, But you will not
see, But feel it's eternal flame. Because of
course in hell you'll be, No one else to
blame. Won't go away like a stormy night, That
eases in and out. It will be there for all
time, And that's what sin's about.
So won't you come and Open your
heart, And let sin take flight? All you really
have to do is Be like a stormy summer night. Come
into God's presence And let yourself be known, And
in His Brightest Light, Let all your sin's be
gone!
