We have wondered about this subject we
are writing this poem about since we
were
"Born Again" a few years ago...And we
believe God has put it on our hearts to
write
about it...
Why are
there some Christians who knit pick
each
other to death, and never give any
encouragement,
or kind words? There are some
who can tear a person's
heart apart, with the
words they speak, and break a
church apart
as well...
How, as
Christians, can we show the Love of God
to
the lost if we don't first show it to each
other?
We all know the answer to that, we
can't!
We have all heard people say, "I'm as
good as
(he or she) is, and I don't even go
to church."
Christians tearing each other
apart is the main
reason the lost feel that
way.
We are
NONE of us perfect, BUT along the
journey we
are on, we meet some, sometimes,
who think
they are. The Scripture we chose
below is
very strong words from our Lord.
But if you
think about it a bit, His feelings
on the
subject of ~ LOVE ~
is strong enough for
Him to send HIS only SON to
die for us!
Very strong indeed!
Why?
Why do we as Christians
tear each other apart,
When all it gains is
broken hearts.
God has emphasized the Word
LOVE,
And sent His best through Jesus, from
above.
To show
us how to love each other,
As He wants us to
as Sisters and Brothers!
How can we show the
LOVE of God,
When we judge each other with a
ROD?
Jesus
is our Judge, and we will stand
Before the
judgment seat and He'll demand
An answer for
how we treat each other
If through His blood
we are, Sister and Brother.
The
Word of God should be our guide,
The words He
leads us to say will not over ride
The
biblical values He has given to us,
If in
His Word we will heed and trust.
Sometimes in our daily walk, we
must agree
Always wanting our point to make,
can be contrary.
The best way to show our
witness clear,
Is to be loving and giving, it
must always appear.
The old
adage is somewhat true and apropos,
If you
have nothing good to say, in life's daily
flow,
Restrain your words and let silence
reign.
For to be abrasive and speak, can be
hard to explain.
Words
of kindness should ever be on our lips,
And
should flow from us as honey drips
From the
honeycomb so sweetly.
Yes, our words should
be spoken discreetly.

We know that
we have passed from death unto life,

the love of God,
