Your Amazing Grace

From heaven to earth You came
 Knowing You'd bear the shame,
You'd take my sin, while on the cross
So my soul wouldn't be lost.

Yes, for me you took the fall
You didn't falter, You took it all!
Father! It should have been me
That they hung upon that tree!

They put You in a borrowed tomb.
It was a tiny little room,
They rolled a stone across the door
It was meant to hold You forevermore!

As the two Mary's came to the sepulcher that day,
An angel of the Lord was sent in glorious display.
His countenance like lightening, his clothes like snow,
And round about him there was a glow.

He rolled the stone away from the door
The guards feared as never before!
They became as dead men, they were so afraid,
They knew they'd been part of the masquerade!

The angel told the women not to fear,
The One they loved and held so dear,
Was not there, He'd risen from the dead,
"Go and tell His decuples," he then said!

Lord, You went to prepare a place for me,
And that's where I'll spend eternity!
Because of the sacrifice You did make!
You've brought to ALL ~ Your Amazing Grace!

Scripture from Matthew 28

And the angel answered and said unto the
women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek
Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here:

for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place
where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell
His disciples that He is risen from the dead.
