As I open my window the breeze blows my
curtains open, and the sunlight dances across
my window sill, as it chases the lingering
clouds away...

There is a chill in the air, and the sweet
scent of autumn. The morning mist still
lingers in the distance underneath the trees.

I see some of the cows down at the river,
and I hear the cow bell on Miss Daisy...She
likes to wander away from home, and that
helps us to find her...

I hear the kids down there at the old
pecan tree. Oh, they can hardly wait for
the pecans to mature and fall from the
tree! A few have already fell, just enough
to tantalize us! They are extra good this year.
We have a good many on the tree. There
will be enough to share with our neighbors
and still have lots to make pies, cakes,
and candies, for Christmas!

The pumpkins have ripened, and we will
look forward to pumpkin pies for our
dessert today!

We have had so many disasters in our
country this year, and our people are still
fighting in wars around the world, standing
up for freedom, as our warriors have down
through the ages...So very much is going on,
yet in it all, there's soooooo much to be
thankful for...Our loved ones, and friends....
The abundance of everything we have in our
country...The technology God has allowed
us to have and enjoy...The medical advances,
and on and on I could go...

God has spared us our freedom in this great
country...Yes, we are still FREE, Thanks to
Him! Above everything in our world today,
Freedom is very much treasured.........Just
think about that, and I believe you'll agree...

But the best Freedom there is, is to be
free from our sin...Jesus paid for our sin
when He went to the cross...When we
accept that He did that for us, we are set
free...That is what I am most thankful for...
...His forgiveness...

I am sure you have much to be thankful
for too. Even in our darkest moments
there's also ~ thankfulness..

Well I believe dinner is just about ready,
won't you come on in and join us...
Uuuuummmmmmm it smells so gooooood!

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed
be Thy name
. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be
done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this
day our daily bread.
And forgive us our
debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us
not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:
For Thine is the Kingdom, and the Power,
and the Glory, for ever.

Amen.

A Blessed Thanksgiving to you
in this year of our Lord,

2010
