Most Wonderful
Time
Christmas is drawing
near,
Bringing lots of joy and cheer.
The
stores are stocked with treasures
For
everyone's shopping pleasure.
The wreath is hung on my front
door,
Hot chocolate steaming ready to
pour.
Chestnuts roasting in the
fireplace,
Snow flakes falling like bits of
lace.

Christmas carols playing on the
radio
Brings back memories of long ago.
I
sing along and reminisce.
Of past Christmas,
gatherings of bliss
Children laughing, playing in
the snow,
Making snowballs they will
throw.
The mailman coming up the
street,
With a handful of cards, what a
treat!
There's one from Uncle Bob and
Aunt Bee
And from the butcher, just for
me.
Here's one from Mom and Pop Brown
So
glad they'll be coming to town.
The story of Jesus birth Pop
loves to tell,
He doesn't have to read it, he
knows it well.
The children gather round as
he begins,
To tell how the Baby Jesus did
descend.

How the star from the east shone
bright,
And led the wise men to him on that
night.
The shepherds left their flocks to
come see
The Baby that was born to free you
and me.
To a man He would grow to
be,
He came to preach, and to die on that
tree.
Taking on, your sins and mine,
It
was planned before the beginning of
time.

Matthew 9~10
The star, which
they saw in the east, went
before them, till
it came and stood over where
the young child
was. When they saw the star,
they rejoiced
with exceeding great joy.
